Jay Abbott, Managing Director of Advanced Security Consulting and Chair of the Competitions Group Board for the UK Cyber Security Challenge, will be presenting on:

Innovation Vs. Security - A Fight to the Death

Security and Innovation have been locked in a timeless fight to the death, in constant conflict, but why?

Security is intent on legislating the problem away, holding back true innovation and hiding behind product innovation. If we are going to win, we need to rip up the rule book and start winging it!

Jay Abbott is a celebrated Keynote speaker who is regularly quoted in the media on the subject of Cyber Security. Jay's background and experience is in the "design it, build it & break it"space, where he has spent most of his career engineering technical solutions to business problems, and the rest reverse engineering technology solutions to ensure that they are secure.

Jay has held senior positions with organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Electronic Arts and Barclays Bank to name but a few.
