Challenge
The client had embarked on a new technology deployment project to streamline their business processes. NCC Group was enlisted to audit the security compliance of the devices, which were pivotal to the success of the project. The findings from the security audit revealed a far greater degree of required remedial action than had been anticipated and for which the client needed access to the necessary skills to avoid major disruption to the project in time.
To address this challenge and avoid project delays, the client liaised with NCC Group, who were able to provide a team at short notice to plan, design, and execute a remediation solution to the identified security risks.
Solution
The SIR team was able to set up Intune policies and devices, which allowed the organization to remotely manage mobile devices. The team then successfully set up and deployed all pieces of the technology to ensure both that the devices were ready to use and that they were fully secure.
Due to the success of this first project, the organization again enlisted the support of NCC Group’s SIR team to set up and deploy a series of Bluetooth finger scanners. These were also set up successfully, and the security of the devices was ensured by the team. This was done by locking down these devices to tie them to the organization’s network to avoid any potential external vulnerabilities.
Result
By enlisting NCC Group’s support, the organization was able to get its devices set up quickly, efficiently, and securely. It was also able to avoid unnecessary expenditure both in terms of resources and time commitment. The devices were set up to NCC Group specifications from the get-go, helping to avoid in-house set-up, which could expose potential security vulnerabilities at the testing stage further down the line.
